Our wood is seasoned which means that it is the most efficient way of burning the logs. Unseasoned wood can be up to 45% moisture which is dramatically reduced by seasoning. Seasoning wood means that it has been left to dry in the right conditions.

The ecological benefits of burning firewood are numerous, perhaps the most important is that it is not a fossil fuel and doesn’t release carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.

Farnborough is the town where the British aviation era started when Samuel Cody settled in the area. Cody had come to the U.K. with a travelling wild west show and made little effort to correct people when they mistakenly thought that he was Buffalo Bill Cody, but he eventually settled in Farnborough and concentrated on his pioneeering work with early aviation. He was also the victim of what is believed to be the first aviation death in this country and the Cody tree where the accident happened is reputed to be by Farnborough Airport. Farnborough Airport continues the aviation tradition of the area and is used by business people and celebrities alike who do not want to fly into one of London’s major airports. Iy is also home to the world famous Farnborough Airshow that attracts visitors from all over the world.
